Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ThinkAssist: what it costs, what it can do, which devices it runs on, and how the free trial works.
- How accurate is the AI solution?
- ThinkAssist uses state-of-the-art Large Language Models specifically fine-tuned for academic accuracy. While no AI is perfect, we provide step-by-step reasoning so you can verify the logic yourself.
- Is ThinkAssist good for solving math problems?
- Yes! Our AI is designed to handle complex math problems, from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. It provides detailed step-by-step solutions, showing all the work so you can understand the process.
- Can it read my messy handwriting?
- Yes! Our advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and AI analysis is designed to interpret handwritten notes, whiteboard scribbles, and printed textbook problems with high precision.
- Why should I choose ThinkAssist over other homework helper apps?
- ThinkAssist provides detailed, easy-to-digest explanations and step-by-step solutions to help you understand the material, rather than just giving you the final answer. On top of that, we've put an enormous amount of effort into making the app fast and user-friendly with as little manual input from you as possible. Nothing proves it better than the 4.6 App Store rating and the fact that most of our users come back to the app on a daily basis.
- Does the app support text inputs as well? Can I chat with it like a tutor?
- Yes. You can type your questions in the app or snap a picture. It's your call.
- Is ThinkAssist considered cheating?
- It depends on how you use it. We position ourselves as a study companion. Our goal is to explain the 'how' and 'why' behind a problem, helping you understand the material better for your exams, rather than just giving a final answer.
- Does it work for college-level courses?
- Absolutely. ThinkAssist supports everything from elementary school basics to advanced University-level Calculus, Organic Chemistry or Physics.
- How much does it cost?
- We offer a 3-day free trial with unlimited access to all features. After the trial, it's usually $6.99 per week, but we provide various subscription options and discounts for longer commitments. For example, the yearly plan is $29.99, about $0.58 per week!
- How does the 3-day free trial work?
- You get full, unlimited access to all features for 3 days. If you're not satisfied, you can cancel anytime through your App Store settings without being charged.
- Is ThinkAssist free?
- ThinkAssist is free to download and starts with a 3-day free trial with full, unlimited access. After the trial it costs $6.99 per week or $29.99 per year (about $0.58 a week). There is also a one-time lifetime purchase. There is no permanent free tier.
- Does ThinkAssist have ads?
- No. ThinkAssist has no ads at all, during the trial or after it.

- No. ThinkAssist needs an internet connection to answer questions.
- Which subjects does ThinkAssist cover?
- All school subjects: math from pre-algebra to calculus and statistics, sciences such as physics, chemistry and biology, English and literature, history, languages and more. It detects the subject and topic of each question automatically, so there is nothing to select first.
- What is Think Deep mode?
- ThinkAssist has two AI modes: a swift mode for everyday questions and Think Deep, a deep-thinking mode for complex problems and hard math. You can switch between them at any time, for any subject.
- Can I go back to answers I got before?
- Yes. ThinkAssist saves every question and explanation in its history, so you can review past problems before a test or exam.
- Can I use ThinkAssist for language learning?
- Yes. ThinkAssist is not a dedicated language-learning app, but you can photograph or type questions in a language you are learning and get explanations, just like any other subject.
- Can ThinkAssist remind me about homework deadlines?
